ISRI member company, Kripke Enterprises, Inc., has been named to the 2024 Top Workplaces list for the second consecutive year, as well as earning the new Superior Appreciation award. Established in 1993 in Toledo, Ohio, Kripke has grown into one of the country’s premiere non-ferrous brokerages by recycling metal and reselling it to manufacturers to create new, everyday items and essential infrastructure.
“We realize we’ve created something pretty special, so receiving a Top Workplaces award is a way for others in the community and industry to know it, too,” said Kripke Partner, Chief Strategy Officer and ISRI Vice-Chair Andy Golding. “The coworkers you interact with daily impact engagement the most, so this award belongs to our employees and is a result of all their hard work.”
According to Golding, the award is a great way to take the pulse of employee culture and address anything that needs attention, as well as reinforce how the organization serves its employees. As part of the Top Workplaces process, Kripke employees were asked a series of anonymous questions such as explaining what contributes most to their decision to stay with Kripke. Golding points to many responses that support the organization’s, “good people, relationships and culture,” in which employees feel they, and the community overall, are cared about.
Top Workplaces is the recognized as the nation’s leading employer recognition award by being employee driven and backed by research. The national recognition program is a partnership between USA TODAY and Energage.
